Steelers Rule Marcus Wheaton Out vs. Jets; Foster Status Uncertain

Going into the Steelers 2013 season, word was that Marcus Wheaton had enough talent to make fans for get Mike Wallace.

As fate would have it, Derek Moye has used more of his 5 minutes of fame during the Steelers 0-4 start then, catching a touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger on a fade pattern vs. the Bengals.

Wheaton has played well, the loss in London being his best game, but Wheaton also broke his pinky and has been ruled out for the Steelers 5 match up vs. the Jets.

Who’s Next at LT – Beachum or Brown?

If the Steelers were quick to rule out Marcus Wheaton, they’ve yet to settle on an offensive line configuration for week 5. The Steelers would like to avoid starting Levi Brown whom they acquired in a trade last week.

But that decision might be determined by Ramon Foster’s recovery. Foster injured his pectoral muscle in London, and his status has yet to be determined.

If Foster is out the Steelers choices at left guard would be Guy Whimper, Kelvin Beachum or even Mike Adams. Playing Beachum at guard would all but assure that Brown starts vs. the Jets.

Dale Lolley reports that Foster is staying he thinks he’ll play. Let’s hope so.
