The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns 30 to 9 and that means only one thing here, its time for Steelers Nation to vote the Steelers game ball winners.
Leading the ballot are of course Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, with Roethlisberger coming off the bench for Landry Jones and completing 22 of 33 passes for 279 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 two point conversion pass, and 1 interception.
Antonio Brown of course earns a spot on the ballot by virtue of his 10 catch 139 yard effort, which included two touchdowns. Brown is joined by fellow wide receiver Martavis Bryant who had six catches for 173 yards and a touchdown.
DeAngelo Williams also gets a slot on the ballot. Early in the game it was rough sledding for Williams, but Williams did get yards when the Steelers needed to kill the clock. Is that enough to earn him a game ball? You decide Steelers Nation.
In the same spirit, the Steelers offensive line earns a spot on the ballot. While the line didn’t do well in run blocking, they did protect Ben Roethlisberger well, who was only sacked once. Heath Miller also gets a ballot slot, thanks to his 4 catch 40 yard performance.
On the defensive end, the Steelers Will Allen gets a slot by virtue of his being the leading tackler on the team, including one behind the line of scrimmage. Michael Mitchell likewise gets a Steelers game ball ballot slot thanks two his two passes defensed and his interception.
Lawrence Timmons also gets a ballot slot, as he was all over the field, had a sack and 2 passes defensed. Ryan Shazier, Stephon Tuitt, and Cameron Heyward also get slots on the ballot, as each man contributed a sack. We’ll also put Jarvis Jones and Arthur Moats on the ballot, as both men were credit with a half sack and both recovered fumbles.
