The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 33-20 at Paul Brown Stadium to improve their record to 8-5 and to forestall a Bengals AFC North title for yet another week. And as we (almost always) do here at Steel Curtain Rising, we invite Steelers Nation to vote Steelers game ball winners for the win over Cincinnati.
On offense, outstanding performances by Ben Roethlisberger, DeAngelo Williams and Heath Miller win them automatic ballot positions. Antonio Brown also gets a slot on the ballot with his 7 catch 87 yard performance. We’re giving Markus Wheaton one on the strength of his 16.5 yard catching average.
On defense, Stephon Tuitt, William Gay and Robert Golden all get ballot slots because of their interceptions. Cam Heyward also gets one thanks to his one sack, 1 pass defensed, one tackle for a loss performance. Will Allen also gets one thanks to his sack, and we’re throwing in Vince Williams and Daniel McCullers for splitting their sacks.
Ryan Shazier and Lawrence Timmons, who were the Steelers tackling leaders also get ballot slots.
On special teams Chris Boswell wins a nod, thanks to his 4-4 field goal kicking effort.
Write In Your Vote for Steelers Game Ball Winner
This is a democratic process so you, the citizens of Steelers Nation, are not limited to these choices. You’re more than free to write in your own vote for Steelers game ball winners. Perhaps you think Martavis Bryant deserves a nod. Write him in and state your case in the comments. Maybe you think James Harrison deserves a nod, or the Steelers offensive line?
Again, write in your choice and leave a comment arguing why your man should be a Steelers game ball winner this week!
