Pittsburgh Steelers 2026 Free Agency Tracker

NFL free agency is almost upon us, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been quiet thus far.

Sure, Mike McCarthy and Omar Khan seem set on dropping Will Howard’s name whenever the opportunity arises, and trampling down any Pat Freiermuth trade rumors, but the Steelers have not made any roster moves aside from signing players to “futures” contracts.

All of which promises to make the next 2-3 weeks interesting because the Steelers have one of the largest free agent classes in recent memory, ample salary cap space and an estimated 12 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

One way or another, things look set to get busy in the Steel City very, very soon.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 Draft Needs @ Outside Linebacker – Fair

The Steelers started the 2024 season with two studs starting at outside linebacker, another stud in the making behind them, and yet another high round draft pick who appeared on the verge of realizing his potential behind him.

  • So the Steelers were set, right?

Not so much. By week 6, their fifth string outside linebacker was making his second NFL start – and this was a guy who did not even dress in weeks 1-4.

With that experience in mind, how should outside linebacker play into Pittsburgh priorities in the 2025 NFL Draft?

T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers Depth Cart at Outside Linebacker: The Starters

Just how good is T.J. Watt? Well consider this: During the Steelers 2024 season, critics were down on Watt because he “only” registered 11.5 sacks and 6 forced fumbles.

For comparison’s sake, during the Steelers 1994 season Greg Lloyd enjoyed a career high 10 sacks and 6 forced fumbles. That performance got serious commentators to wondering whether Lloyd pivoting towards authoring a Hall of Fame resume. (Alas, injuries robbed Greg Lloyd of a shot at Canton.)

  • T.J. Watt is the NFL’s best outside linebacker. Period.

Alongside T.J. Watt the Steelers have Alex Highsmith. Highsmith’s best year came in 2022 when he had 14.5 sacks. Since then his sack production has declined, but he’s been a strong against the run and has proven to be an effective counter-weight to Watt.

Steelers Outside Linebacker Depth Chart: The Backups

Nick Herbig stands behind Watt and Highsmith, and all Nick Herbig simply does is make plays. Herbig didn’t simply begin recording sacks and forced fumbles when he began getting playing time as a rookie, he does it at opportune times such has his strip sack of Joe Burrow in the Steelers road win over the Bengals.

If Herbig continues to improve at his current rate, this time next spring we could potentially be in a debate about whether he’s made Highsmith expendable.

The Steelers have brought back 2024’s fifth string linebacker Jeremiah Moon, after declining to give him the veteran minimum. However, before he was hurt early in the season, the Steelers had been working DeMarvin Leal in at outside linebacker.

Little has been heard of Leal from the team, although he has promised 2025 will be his redemption year.Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL Draft, Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Needs Scale

The Steelers 2025 Draft Needs @ Outside Linebacker

Omar Khan has said he hope T.J. Watt will be a one jersey player, which means something as he’s someone who holds a lot of sway in making that happen. Alex Highsmith’s contract runs through 2027. And Nick Herbig has two years remaining on his rookie deal.

The Steelers appear to be set at outside linebacker.

But, as to 2024 showed, injuries can deplete depth in a hurry. The Steelers will carry four outside linebackers, and neither Moon nor Leal is certain to earn a roster spot, so the Steelers need at outside linebacker going into the 2025 NFL Draft must be considered Fair.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2024 Free Agent Tracker

Free Agency started on Monday March 10th at noon.

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered free agency with as much as much to lose as they do have to gain.

The Steelers have 17 players set to become free agents. Omar Khan has over 60 million dollars in salary cap money to spend, with the ability to increase that quickly and easily with restructures and extensions. Yet, the team has been cautious.

  • If anyone is panicking over the Steelers lack of a quarterback, they’re not on the South Side.

Beyond that, the Steelers have seen far more free agents depart for greener patures than they have extended the welcome mat to.

steelers press conference,

Is Omar Khan stockpiling compensatory picks? That may not be his intent, but thus far that’s the end-product of his approach to free agency as the legal tampering period comes to an end.

Trading Places! Steelers Trade for WR Mike Williams and OLB Preston Smith

The NFL trading deadline arrived and as expected Omar Khan moved. Everyone expected his first move, but no one saw the second coming.

As had been rumored for weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded for Mike Williams of the New York Jets, sending their 5th round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft in exchange. However, they also traded for Preston Smith, and outside linebacker from the Packers, sending Green Bay a 7th round pick from 2025.

Let’s take a look at the moves.

Mike Williams, DeShon Elliot, Steelers vs Jets

Steelers Finally Add to their Wide Receiver Room

Rumors of a big move at wide receiver have been pending in Pittsburgh since the Steelers traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Donte Jackson. The move never materialized, although the Steelers did come close to a deal for Brandon Aiyuk.

The Steelers were also interested in several other wide receivers, some of whom got traded to other teams, others got injured.

But for weeks Mike Williams has been the center of speculation, with reports that the Steelers were in active negotiations with the Jets that got put on hold before the Jets Sunday Night game against the Steelers.

Mike Williams stands at 6-foot-4, and weighs 218 pounds and his resume includes a tandem of 1,000-yard seasons in 2019 and ’21, and has authored 13 100-yard games since being drafted as the 7th overall pick for the then San Diego Chargers in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Although Williams logged 309 catches for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns with the Chargers, they let him go in free agency. The Steelers showed interest, but he opted to ink a one-year, $10 million contract with the Jets.

However, he is coming off of a torn ACL suffered in he 3rd week of in 2023 and he only managed to snag 12 catches for 166 yards from the Jets, which includes one catch on two targets for 15 yards during the Jets in a 37-15 loss to the Steelers.

In four career games against the Steelers, Mike Williams has 14 catches for 236 yards and one touchdown and is 2-2 against his new team.

Is Williams Worth the Price?

If a 5th round pick for a 9-game rental for a player that has just 12 catches sounds like a high price to pay for a wide receiver, that’s because it is.

  • But the cost was likely necessary.

George Pickens is playing well, and with Russell Wilson at quarterback, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin have seen their roles in the offense increase. But no one should be fool: The Steelers are and have been an injury to George Pickens away from lining up Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Connor Heyward in the Wishbone.

Now Mike Williams may not be “starter capable” at this point in his career/recovery, but with rookie Payton Wilson on injured reserve, the Steelers can’t realistically find help at wide receiver elsewhere.

Williams does give Wilson another target who is good at catching 50/50 balls, and that should help loosen up the offense for the other wide outs as well as Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington.

Preston Smith Unexpected, but Welcome

The Steelers decision to bring in an additional outside linebacker might strike you as a surprise, but perhaps it shouldn’t. If memory serves, it was late in the game vs the Giants, perhaps before he authored his game-sealing strip sack, cameras panned to show a obviously winded T.J. Watt on the sidelines.

Anyone who knows Watt understand that he would not be out at such a critical moment if he didn’t need to be. Watt has played over 91% of the snaps, in large part because both Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig have been injured for much of the year.

With DeMarvin Leal out, the Steelers were forced to start 5th string outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon in their absence.

While Highsmith returned to great effect against New York and Herbig is expected back this week, the Steelers are adding depth at a critical position and hopefully bringing in a player who can help T.J. Watt pace himself.

Preston Smith brings a resume with 138 career starts for both Washington and Green Bay to Pittsburgh, and he started every game in eight of his 10 seasons. Smith actually started all nine games for the Packers in 2024 and has recorded 2 1/2 sacks, landed four quarterback hits and made 19 tackles, including two tackles for losses.

To make room for the additions, the Steelers waived tight end and special teams standout Rodney Williams.

Steelers Report Card for Win over Raiders – Business of Winning Edition

Taken from the grade book of a teacher pleased to see his students back to the business of winning here is the Pittsburgh Steelers Report Card for the 2024 win over the Raiders.

Najee Harris, Steelers vs Raiders

Najee Harris dives for a 36-yard touchdown. Photo Credit: AP via Tribune-Review

Quarterback
Justin Fields went 14-24-0-0 for 145 yards through the air while running 11 times for 59 yards, including 2 touchdowns and several first-down scrambles. Although Fields turned in a winning performance his legs rather than his arm was his biggest weapon. He had an ugly interception erased by a penalty, and he erased a touchdown pass by throwing from way beyond the line of scrimmage and threw a terrible lateral that should have been a turn over. While he did make a couple of nice throws, he also missed a couple of key targets, and the Steelers only had to punt 3 times, they also only went 4-13 on third downs. Grade: CSteelers, Report Card, grades,

Running Backs
This was the Najee Harris we’ve been waiting for. Harris ran 14 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. Even if you take out his 36-yard touchdown run, he was still averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Harris was hitting the holes with more authority and forcing the piles forward. Jaylen Warren had 6 carries for 7 yards, but he did bail Fields out on a blown lateral and was strong in run blocking. Aaron Shampklin and Jonathan Ward combined for 4 carries. Grade: A-

Tight Ends
Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward combined for 4 catches for 26 yards and the tight ends came up big in the blocking game. Grade: B

Wide Receivers
The Steelers wide receivers combined for 5 passes for 88 yards, with 31 of those coming on a stat-padding play to George Pickens late in the game. Calvin Austin had the other two catches for those of you taking notes for next week’s fantasy football starts. All of this isn’t on the receivers, but the Steelers clearly need more here. A lot more. Grade: D

Offensive Line
The running backs enjoyed their best run blocking of perhaps the entire season, and this is in no way coincidental with the fact that the Steelers were able to field the same 5 offensive lineman (until Zach Frazier got hurt, that is.) Still, Justin Fields got sacked 3 times and had to run out of pressure on several others. Grade: C+

Defensive Line
The Steelers shut down the Raiders rushing attack, and that starts with the defensive line. Cam Heyward led the unit with 4 tackles and a critical sack, while Keeanu Benton batted down a pass and covered first forced fumble. Grade: B+

Linebackers
The Raiders held T.J. Watt all day, but Watt continued to wreak havoc, making tackles behind the line of scrimmage and making not one, but two game-changing forced fumbles. Elandon Roberts had another strong game and Payton Wilson continues to quietly carve a role for himself in this offense. Jeremiah Moon wasn’t a liability – not bad given his status as 5th stringer. Grade: A

Secondary
DeShon Elliott made a heads up play in recovering and returning the second fumble for 10 yards, and Donte Jackson helped seal victory with his third interception of the season. Why where both of these guys so easy to acquire? The Raiders had a nice opening drive that made it look like it was going to be a long afternoon. At the end of the day it was a long afternoon – for Las Vegas as the Raiders went 2-11 on third downs. Grade: A-

Special Teams
Chris Boswell went 4 of 4 on field goals including the first two which went for 52 and 49 yards respectively. Jaylen Warren returned the opening kick off far enough that the Raiders didn’t let him do it again. Minkah Fitzpatrick recovered the on-sides kick attempt, and Corliss Waitman did a fantastic job of punting.

The real star was Jeremiah Moon who took a perfect angle and blocking the first punt of the 2nd half allowing the Steelers to dictate the tone of the final 30 minutes. Grade: A

Coaching
It would be a little strange to criticize Arthur Smith for an offensive effort that put 32 points on the board, a season high and a total that they only topped once last season.

So we won’t.

The Steelers running game was at its best all season. Some of this was due to improved execution on the part of Najee Harris, but some of it was due to better coordination between the rusher and the blocker. (See the pitch to Harris that finally worked.)

  • And the Steelers showed once again that Justin Fields is a dangerous weapon in the Red Zone.

But 32 points, while representing progress, shouldn’t obscure the fact that this team’s passing game doesn’t remotely look NFL-ready. The 1988 Steelers passing attack was far more potent. Some of this is tied to personnel, some of it is tied to execution. One can see Arthur Smith is trying to make the best with what he has. The effort may continue.

It says here that the Las Vegas Raiders offense probably doesn’t provide a good measuring stick to judge an NFL defense.

So be it. During the first three weeks of the season, Teryl Austin looked like he was fielding a Super Bowl quality defense. The unit slipped a two weeks ago, and last week that looked like an outright mirage.

The Steelers defense dominated the Raiders. Yes, they gave up an easy touchdown on the first drive, but the Raiders never made a serious threat to contest the game after that. By the time Aidan O’Connell was throwing his final interception the entire Raiders squad looked like it really just wanted to hit the showers.

Patrick Queen, Ameer Abdullah, Steelers vs Raiders

One week after they were left “squashing grapes” instead of drinking wine, the Steelers authored the type of bounce back name they needed to, and that is to Mike Tomlin’s credit. Grade: B

Unsung Hero Award
For the first five weeks of the season this player was getting talked about not so much for what he had done, but for what he was failing to do. While he hadn’t made any blaring errors, he still didn’t seem to make much of an impact. Against the Raiders, he led the team in tackles, dropped several runners behind the line of scrimmage and used his speed as an asset throughout the game and for that Patrick Queen wins the Unsung Hero Award for the Steelers 2024 win over the Raiders in Las Vegas.

Steelers Rough Up Raiders 32-13 as T.J. Watt Forces 2 Fumbles

The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Las Vegas and roughed up the Raiders 32 to 13 as Steelers Nation yet again took over another opposing team’s venue.

The win snapped the Steelers two-game losing streak and allowed them to keep pace with the resurgent Baltimore Ravens in the race for the AFC North. The reasons why the Steelers reversed their fortunes against the Raiders are simple:

  • They swarmed to the ball
  • The Raiders made many mistakes, and Pittsburgh capitalized on every one of them
  • The Steelers created their own opportunities

Let’s provide some depth to each of the above.

T.J. Watt, Patrick Queen, Ameer Abdullah, Steelers vs Raiders, T.J. Watt force fumble Raiders

T.J. Watt forces a Ameer Abdullah at the goal line. Photo Credit: Karl Roser, Steelers.com

Swarming to the Ball

Throughout the 80’s and 90’s longtime Washington, DC sports radio journalist Ken Beatrice repeatedly reminded listeners “Most NFL teams lose games, very few teams win them.”

Beatrice’s wisdom has aged well and the Steelers last two games exemplify it.

Yet, Dallas came precariously close to losing the game to Pittsburgh. At the goal line with time expiring, Elandon Roberts launched himself at Rico Dowdle knocking the loose. If the Steelers can cover that ball, they head into the locker room with a W. Alas, Dak Prescott converted and lived to throw the winning touchdown pass with time expiring.

The conventional wisdom is that recovering fumbles is a 50-50 proposition at best – a lot depends on where the ball bounces. But a lot is not everything. Against the Cowboys network commentators detailed how the Steelers emphasis recovering fumbles in practice.

  • Methinks that Mike Tomlin hath reinforced that lesson during practice last week.

With the Steelers down to their 5th string outside linebacker, the Raiders were able to limit T.J. Watt as a pass rusher. But T.J. Watt is anything but a one dimensional player.

  • Las Vegas learned that lesson. Twice.
Justin Fields, Steelers vs Radiers

Justin Fields rushes for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter. Photo Credit: AP via Tribune-Review

With just over 4 minutes left, the Raiders were looking to add to a 1 point lead. After a nice 17 yard catch that saw Minkah Fitzpatrick leave the game, the Raider ran right with Dylan Laube. T.J. Watt punched the ball loose, with Keeanu Benton recovering.

  • Six plays later Justin Fields pranced into the end zone to give the Steelers the lead.

Late in the third quarter T.J. Watt struck again. The Raiders had just responded to a Steelers touchdown with a 9 play 69 yard drive. Ameer Abdullah had just plowed his way for 10 yards with DeShone Elliott barely stopping him at the one.

  • The score was 22-7 and a Raiders touchdown would put the right back in the game.

Abdullah had been very close. Las Vegas could have put points on the board by rolling the dice with a replay challenge.

Instead, the Raiders went back to the same well, and they went to the well one too many times, as T.J. Watt forced another fumble, with Elliott scooping up the ball and returning it 10 yards.

The Steelers couldn’t convert that turnover into points, but they did move far enough downfield to pin Las Vegas deep into their territory.

Capitalizing on Mistakes

Those forced fumbles by T.J. Watt and the recoveries by Benton and Elliott didn’t happen in a vacuum. After Watt’s first forced fumble, Justin Fields tried to hit George Pickens and threw what would have been an ugly interception.

But a roughing the passer penalty nullified the turnover. Four plays later Fields scored his first touchdown. Prior to Watt’s second forced fumble, the Raiders scored a touchdown, only to nullify it with an illegal man downfield. Watt and Elliott make sure Las Vegas didn’t get a second chance.

  • This was very much the story for the Las Vegas Raiders this afternoon.

Earlier in the third quarter Justin Fields had hit Jaylen Warren for a 6 yard gain on third an 17. Yet the Raiders K’Lavon Chaisson slammed into Fields after the throw, committing a roughing the passer penalty and gifting the Steelers with another first down in the process.

Two plays later one of those dreaded pitches to Najee Harris finally worked, as Harris ran down the sidelines for a 36 yard touchdown with a critical block by Pat Freiermuth paving the way.

Many of the Raiders wounds were self-inflicted, by the Steelers took advantage of every one of those.

Creating Their Own Opportunities

If the Steelers had only taken advantage of Raider errors, one could argue that Las Vegas simply lost this game. Instead, the Steelers can claim that they won it because they created their own opportunities.

Jeremiah Moon, who was in at outside linebacker for DeMarvin Leal, who was in for Nick Herbig, who in turn was in for Alex Highsmith, posted a rather spare stat sheet this week with 2 total tackles.

  • Yet he arguably made most statement-worthy play for the Steelers by blocking the Raiders punt.

Yes, the Steelers had to settle for a Chris Boswell field goal, but it did put the Pittsburgh up by 2 scores effectively allowing the Steelers to dictate the tempo the rest of the game.

With the Steelers up 22-7 and the game already in hand with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Corliss Waitman pinned Las Vegas down at their 13. Cam Heyward sacked Aidan O’Connell, pinning them down at their 3. Heyward helped scuttle his next attempt, and on third down Donte Jackson picked him off, setting up Justin Fields second touchdown of the game.

  • Fields second touchdown is a perfect example of the Steelers creating their own opportunities.

The Steelers passing attack remains a work that’s very much in progress. Yet the Steelers committed to the run, averaging just over 4 yards a carry and relied on Fields’ leg for 2 touchdowns and several first downs.

  • On the flip side the Steelers run defense has been wanting in the last two week.

Pittsburgh not only limited Las Vegas to 57 yards on the ground, but Steelers defenders dropped 7 Raiders rushers behind the line of scrimmage. When all is said and done, the Las Vegas Raiders look like a team are a lot more likely to contend for a top-ten draft pick than a berth in a conference championship. But as Mike Tomlin explained:

Winning is our business. Football is our game. Winning is our business. We hadn’t been handling business. And so, it was just good to get back to taking care of business. This is a normal state for us. It needs to be.

And at 4-2, it has been the normal state for the Steelers twice as often as it has not.

Steelers Report Card for Loss to the Cowboys Whining about Wine Edition

Taken from the grade book of a teacher wanting to whine after seeing visitors drinking wine at Acrisure, here is the Pittsburgh Steelers Report Card for the loss to the Cowboys in Sunday Night Football.

T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Dak Prescott, Steelers vs Cowboys, T.J. Watt 100 sacks

T.J. Watt gets his 100th sack. Photo Credit: Chaz Palla, Tribune-Review

Quarterback
Justin Fields passing numbers were solid, completing 15 of 27 for 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran 6 times for 27 sometimes tough yards. Nonetheless, Fields missed makeable throws that could have been difference-makers for a struggling offense. To wit, the Steelers were 3-12 on third downs. Grade: CSteelers, Report Card, grades,

Running Backs
Najee Harris actually led the team in receptions, catching two passes for 35 yards. That’s good, but Najee Harris is a running back. And for the second straight week he did not run well. He may have come out slightly better in the ‘eye test’ but his numbers 42 yards on 14 carries don’t lie. Aaron Shampklin and Jonathan Ward looked good in spot duty but not enough to provide a spark. Grade: F

Tight Ends
The tight ends provided both touchdown catches on the night, with Pat Freiermuth catching 3 balls for 22 yards and Connor Heyward catching 2 for 23. Darnell Washington also had 1 catch for 5 yards. Grade: B

Wide Receivers
The good news? Van Jefferson shed his invisibility cloak for this game. The bad news? His 3 catches for 26 yards look more like mop up numbers that WR No 2 stats. WR No. 1 George Pickens also had 3 catches for 26 yards…. Calvin Austin had 1 catch for 6 yards and Brandon Johnson (who?) had 1 catch for 9 yards.

Stats like these make graying Generation X Steelers fan long for the days of Weegie Thompson and Dwight Stone. Ouch! Grade: F

Offensive Line
Isaac Seumalo returned to the offensive line and added a veteran presence. It may take him time to find his feet, as Justin Fields took 8 hits and suffered 3 sacks, and the Steelers consistently lost on 1st and 2nd down setting up third and longs. All of that might not be on the line, but some of it certainly is. Grade: D

Defensive Line
Look at the box score and you’ll see that the Dallas Cowboys rushing attack probably lacked the “wow” factor. But whatever they lacked there, they made up for consistency. The Cowboys establish the run early on and leaned into it on their final drive. All of this doesn’t fall on the shoulders of the defensive line. But it starts there. Grade: D

Linebackers
T.J. Watt got his 100th sack on a play here he and Nick Herbig brought Dak Prescott down, stripping the ball in the Red Zone. Watt later helped wreck a drive in the 3rd quarter with a sack. Payton Wilson had nine tackles and was around the ball. Patrick Queen led the unit in tackles with 9 while Elandon Roberts forced a fumble that should have been a game changer. Those are all positives, but the linebackers failed to bring pressure on Prescott when it counted and they too deserve their share of the blame for Dallas’ success on the ground. Grade: C-

Secondary
Joey Porter Jr. hauled what should have been a game-shifting interception, and Donte Jackson had a pick in the end zone that took at least 3 points off the board. Minkah Fitzpatrick made several key stops. But Dallas converted 9 of 15 third down attempts and made it look all too easy in the process. DeShon Elliott manned up after the game – but he was hardly the only one at fault. Grade: D

Special Teams
Chris Boswell kicked a 41 yarder. Corliss Waitman’s punting was solid and, unfortunately, could probably gain a few votes for offensive MVP. Dallas forced the Steelers to return kicks and Aaron Shampklin did a respectable job. Isaiahh Loudermilk blocked a field goal. Grade: B+

Coaching
Where to start?

Arthur Smith’s offense doesn’t come with a lot of frills. His philosophy is focused establishing the run by dominating at the line of scrimmage, setting up play action passing to create chunk plays.

This formula worked slowly, but reasonably well through the first three weeks of the season. But things have gone downhill fast. For the second straight week the Steelers have failed to establish the run, and effectively asked Justin Fields to win the game for them, when he clearly lacks the receivers to do that.

Smith likes to line his quarterbacks up under center, but Justin Fields worked extensively in the shotgun on both touchdown drives. While those touchdowns were nice, over reliance on the shotgun could complicate things.

Shotgun or no, Dallas came to Pittsburgh with a terrible rushing defense and missing its best two defenders, yet they clearly got the better of the Steelers rushing attack.

  • Teryl Austin has a different problem.

He’s got a defense that is capable of making splash plays that should be game-changing. Yet they keep getting beaten on bread-and-butter downs. As the Elandon Roberts play proved, forcing a fumble at the one doesn’t mean a whole lot if you can’t stop a four yard pass on 4th and 4.

To be fair to Austin, by the end of the game, the Steelers had lost Nick Herbig and DeMarvin Leal, making 5th string outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon the next man up. Any defense in the NFL is going to struggle a bit in those circumstances.

But that neither explains nor confuses the lackluster play on the defensive line or the miscommunications and/or ineffectiveness of the inside linebackers.

Cameron Heyward, Rico Dowdle, Steelers vs Cowboys

Cam Heyward was one of the few rights spots for the Steelers. Photo Credit: Chaz Palla, Tribune-Review

Mike Tomlin has said that an NFL team definition its identity during the first six weeks of the season. During weeks 1-3 the Steeler that definition looked pretty sharp. Focus slipped a little in week four but still looked good.

But in week 5 the Pittsburgh stuck “smashing grapes.” And it wasn’t pretty. Grade: F

Unsung Hero Award
Five weeks ago he was being mocked as a player getting a “scholarship year.” Since then he’s been the best player in his unit, by far, and against the Cowboys he was the only defensive lineman to turn in a truly good performance. And for that Cam Heyward wins the Unsung Hero Award for the Steelers 2024 loss to the Cowboys at Acrisure.
